APPLICATIONS & SOLUTIONS

Solvent recovery

Solvent recovery is one of the most well-known uses of activated carbon and it can make a significant difference to industrial processes. It’s a cost-effective process allowing solvents that have been used in industrial processes to be recovered. They can then be reused, meaning there’s no need to spend money repurchasing. In fact, without solvent recovery many industrial processes would not be cost-effective to operate. The activated carbon is used to collect the solvents and, not only is an expensive resource collected, but potentially damaging emissions to the atmosphere are prevented too. Sometimes the solvent can even be sold on to be reused. Energy can also be generated through this process and money is then saved on energy costs. Solvent recovery is both economical and beneficial to the environment.

Activated Carbon range includes products capable of recovering Acetone, Cyclohexane, Carbon Disulfide, Toluene and Methyl Ethyl Ketone, solvents that are regularly used in many of these industries.
